Jason and Curtis were playing a video game together in their small, yet comfortable living room. They had been room mates for the past two weeks, but knew each other well. The house belonged to Jason, who was only twenty four years old. He had enherited it from his family who had passed away not to long ago. His friend, Curtis, he had always felt close to him like a brother. He thought that perhaps it was because they shared the same birthdate, or maybe it was because they liked the same things. But after thinking about it hard when Curtis had moved in, Jason realized that it was because Curtis accepted him for who he was.
Curtis was one of those kinds of people. There was nothing wrong with him, he appeared to be normal despite the hardships he endured while growing up with an alcoholic father and a below average income family. The only problems Jason saw with Curtis was that he had a poor memory and had a tough time concentrating. Jason on the other hand was self cautious of his own weight. His old friends used to call him Sasquatch to be funny; Curtis never called him anything but Jay, or Jason, and even sometimes "Bro." This was one of the things Jason really liked about Curtis, that he was nicer than his old friends.
That day Jason decided he had enough of Super Smash Brothers and got up. "Hey I'm going to grab a Soda, do you want one?" He asked his house-mate.
"Yeah, I'm in the mood for an Orange Soda." He said and turned the game off. "I'll get it though." They both walked into the kitchen. The kitchen was nice and simple, it had all the applianced you would need such as a toaster and microwave, but the best thing about it was that it was spotless and clean. This was one of the things Curtis loved about the place.
The home Curtis came from was tough to keep clean. No one ever cleaned up after themselves and so he decided to move out and away to meet his friend. "Have I told you how great this place is?" Curtis asked, and Jason began to laugh.
"Yes you have. Several times."
"It's just a lot easier to keep clean. This place has it all. And I'm thankfull to you that you're allowing me to stay here." Jason told Curtis that it was probably the smartest move he's made in a while.
"You know, I was pretty lonely living here all by myself. Anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to help me sort out some of my parents things in the attic. I haven't been up there yet." Curtis agreed and after eating a quick lunch and drinking their fruit sodas they headed upstairs to the attic.

They had sorted through all kinds of junk; there were musical instruments like old guitars and violins, and a neat Piano that had been stored away. Curtis tinkered with it to see if all the keys were still working, and they were. But then Jason found something quite interesting. It was a small chest, similar to a treasure chest he had seen in a video game. He called Curtis over and they both peered at it. It was locked, and there appeared to be no way of opening it. "I don't know where the key to this thing is." he sighed, "Or the Key hole for that matter."  The chest was a good size, big enough to fit several books, but small enough to pick up easily. Jason and Curtis took the chest downstairs to get a better look at it since the lighting in the attic wasn't all that good.
Back in the Living room Jason had sat the chest down on a coffee table. Curtis was catching up, in his hands a slightly damp washcloth. Curtis started to clean off the dust from the box and they could make out some writing, as well as a carefully carved animal figurine etched into the front. The chest was apparently wooden. Curtis liked the figurine. It looked like a crouching fox with it's tail sticking up over it's back as it looked to the right. He noticed something about it however; the tail looked like it was detached from the rest of the body. In fact, the upper body looked like it was detached from the lower half as well. He thought this was kind of odd, so he held the chest in place and pushed on the tail. He was excited to find that he could push the tail so that it appeared to rest on the ground, but also, that he could push the body of the fox so that it appeared to be standing on it's feet like a person. As he pushed the body in place he heard a faint clicking sound, and the box came open slightly. Curtis looked at Jason who urged him to open it. Curtis nodded and as he did they looked inside to see a bottle that held an oddly colored fluid, as well as several pouches with powder inside them. Each pouch had a picture on it of some kind of animal. There was also a journal.
Jason picked up the journal and immediatly began to read, but Curtis was fascinated by the pouches. There were so many pouches that he didn't feel like counting them all, but he was able to find the one he wanted. The pouch had a symbole of a very distinct Arctic Fox. Jason said aloud, "According to this journal you're supposed to mix a small bit of the fluid in the bottle with the powder. The powder is an 'essense' of the animal picture it has on it, and when a person takes it their body temperarily transforms into the animal. If you take it correctly your body won't change completly, but if you take too much of the powder, your body changes completely into the creature, but if you take too much of the fluid, then your body stays transformed longer, possibly permanantly." Jason looked up and saw the gleem in Curtis' eyes. "You're not actually thinking of trying it are you?"
"Why not?" Curtis asked. "It sounds like a challenge to me! I say we should prove this thing correct. I've been wondering if such a thing was even possible for ages! And you know it! To not test it out would be to deny myself the chance of a lifetime!"
"Fine... you test it out, but I'm quite comfortable with myself the way I am." There was a silence and curtis nodded.
"Very well. I'm happy with you the way you are too... but I need to do this." he replied.

Curtis followed the instructions as best as he could, making sure not to waste a single drop of fluid or puff of powder. The mixture didn't look all that appealing, but Curtis was deturmined. He gave what was supposed to be one last look at his comrade when he stopped himself. He said outloud, "I should probably strip down to my shorts or something to make sure I don't destroy my clothes."
"Yeah I guess so." Jason said, "You're not going to like become a warewolf and kill me are you?" Curtis started to laugh at this, but Jason was not amused.
"This is it." He said as he stood there in his boxers, the glass cup with the mixture in his hand. As he took a final deep breath he said, "I sure hope this doesn't hurt too badly..." and he downed the horrid concoction as though it were a shot of vodka. He put the cup down on the coffee table and looked at his hands. Nothing was happening. Well, his stomache hurt a little bit. "That stuff better not have been poison..." he said softly as he started to worry a little. Jason looked at his friends body in anticipation but could see nothing happening. It was kind of disapointing. But then Curtis had an itch on one of his toes. He leaned on the coffee table and lifted his foot up so that he could scratch at it, and there was a scruff of white fur coming from the tops of his toes. "Hey, the hairs on my toes are turning white..." he said and started to laugh lightly.
"No way..." Jason got up from his seat and came closer to see for himself, but before he got too close he could see the hairs all over Curtis' body changing color as well. "It's happening..." Jason added. Just then Curtis felt a sharp pinching sensation in his ears, as though someone was pulling on them as hard as they could. His hands and feet felt a similar pulling but they hurt twice as badly. Curtis looked at his hands and feet and could see them begin to change as well; his feet streched out while his toes shrank and became close together. "You're Digiped now." Jason had said, but Curtis heard nothing of this, all he could think about was the new stabing feeling he had in his face. His nose, and his jaws felt numb like rubber but they were pulled out into a fox point muzzle. Curtis fell to his hands and knees as his whole body sprouted fur. Just when he thought it was all over, a slow, steady ripping sound told him that it wasn't over yet. He looked behind him where the burning on his lower back was coming from  to see that he was indeed growing a long dog's tail. This tail, became quite poofy when the transformation was complete. Curtis lay on the ground completely naked; the tail and stripped him of his dignity when it came out. Jason covered him with a spare bedsheet, and as Curtis lay on the floor resting, Jason began to read more of the journal.
Nearly thirty minutes passed before Curtis sat up. He looked at himself and was just astonished at what he was seeing. "So it wasn't just a dream." he said. Even his voice was different. He began to get to his feet, but found that it wasn't as easy as exptected.
"You're going to have to learn how to stand and walk again." Jason said. "You've never walked with these legs before. Curtis stood there wobbling, leaning against the wall when he looked at himself and realized he was completely naked.
"I guess I should put some clothes on." he said as he sat back down on the ground and got dressed. "Your turn."
Jason scoffed, "Wha? You honestly expect me to want to go through what you just did? No thanks!!! Count me out!"
"Come on bro, actually... I feel so much better. I feel so alive."
"Well one of us needs to stay... human while the other is a... well, creature, just in case." Curtis nodded and agreed. "Besides, now you're like my Pet." Jason gave him a big grin. Curtis gave him an odd look.
"Don't get any ideas now. I call noone master." He chuckled.

This is the end of Part 1. Depending on the response I get, I may add a Part. 2 or more. Characters are based on myself and Kritter, though this is fiction so obviously none of this stuff ever actually took place.
Two really close friends make a discovery that astonishes and amaizes them.
This is a Furry Transformation story. Not a Yiff story, though could possibly be concidered pg-13.
Curtis is me.
Jason is Kritter.
